Grass & General Grounds Maintenance
During these unprecendented times the Parish Council has been advised by our Contractor, Swindon Borough Council, that they are running with a reduced workforce and their focus will be on delivering critical services.
For the foreseeable future, and while the UK remains on critical service levels, services such as grass cutting and hedge trimming will be given a lower priority and may not be carried out in some areas for some time. We would ask that residents be patient over the coming few weeks/months.
Following the announcement made by Central Government yesterday we would ask that all Parishioners take heed of the Governments request to stay at home and only make trips outside if totally necessary, for essential food and/or medical supplies, and/or for exercise.
Full guidance on staying at home can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/full-guidance-on-staying-at-home-and-away-from-others
As it stands our parks will remain open and we ask the public to use our open spaces responsibly and sensibly and adhere to social distancing advice.
Residents however must NOT visit our parks to use play equipment, have picnics, engage in sporting activities, gather in large groups or anything else where it is impossible to adhere to the 2m rule as has been highlighted before.
Allotment plot holders should not leave home to tend to their plots unless entirely necessary should they be reliant on produce grown themselves.
We will endeavor to update this page with all relevant and useful information and guidance.
